Technology Slowly

I am a technically competent person. I've worked in software for years. I am full of computing and internet- related bits of knowledge. But my "getting my website running" project is always a good reminder of how clueless i am. at every step (let's say transferring my domain name) i am puzzled by what i'm supposed to do, even with clear instructions. i get easily frustrated that my skills on the computer don't match my vision. trust me, the banner graphic in my head is pretty cool.

but, i am here. i've conquered my biggest problem with this years-long website project. i've managed to get something written, something visible. so its color scheme is goofy, its not yet mapped to my domain name that i've had registered for years, and its lacking style. but its here. i have a presence.

tomorrow, i will sort out that domain thing and then, its onto publish photos.
