Covert Operation
Kent turned 30 on Friday. To celebrate, he and I went to a Golden State Warriors vs. Mavericks game. Unbeknownst to him, his best friends, father and sister were already at the stadium waiting for him.
It was a layered surprise. Steve, Miles, Brian, Chris and Katy were in the seats when we got there. Dad showed up right after the game started. Heather and her boyfriend came by a bit after that. Icing on the cake - his mom got "Happy Birthday Kent" put up on the jumbotron during half-time.
It was one of the best sneaky surprise events I've ever done. Kent was super shocked - he really had no idea. I was super grateful that so many people flew into SF for the weekend, and we all had a blast.
The game was followed by some roasting, toasting and storytelling (and lots of drinks) at a bar in SF. Saturday we had drinks down at Beach Chalet overlooking the ocean, then dinner and a party in my neighborhood.
This morning, we had breakfast together, then Kent took the boys to the airport, while Chris, Katy, Brian and I went to the DeYoung. (I'm a member now. Add free art to the list of reasons you should come visit me.)
After some slices of leftover ice cream cake, I dropped them off at the airport.
We all had a great weekend, especially Kent.
Looking forward to seeing pics from the rest of the crew. My small collection only captures part of our weekend.

Motherload
The photographers from Kelly & Greg's wedding posted the many, many, many pics online. If you like looking at weddings, my family, pretty dresses, or action shots of people dancing in formal wear - do it.
I will publicly thank my ever considerate sister for getting us great bridesmaid dresses. I will happily pull these pics out when I am at whatever age it is where reminiscing about the days of my youthful 30s is on the day's agenda.
And of course, Kelly & Greg look fabulously happy.

Adventure
Kent and I adventured to Marin today to go hiking at Point Reyes National Seashore. We planned to do a pretty long hike, but it took a lot longer to get out there then expected. (Who knew Marin was so large?)
We hiked to the light house instead.

Bummer for us, eh?
We had lunch overlooking the Pacific, holding down our food so it didn't blow away.
It was great.

Perfect
This was the perfect 4-day weekend. I explored the city, went to the actual beach (as it turns out, I live minutes from the Pacific Ocean), took several naps, played games, read my book, went to fantastic yoga, watched some movies, saw friends and finished my new bathroom curtain!

And the laundry pile is even clean!

I got a brother in law!
Kelly & Greg got married a couple of weeks back. The wedding was fantastic & Kelly looked amazing! Check out some pics.
And now I have a brother-in-law! It's fun to say.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is the delicious meal I shared with Kristen and her family.

This is view from Kristen's apartment.
I'd like this view. I overlook apartments and a parking lot. I'm looking for the hot guy who likes to walk around in the buff in those windows, but so far no luck. But more important than a view is that the Saabaru has a place of its own to sleep at night.
